Terms of Use
Effective 14 September 2026
These terms cover the Nihongo Rush app for iPhone, published by Egemen Denizeri. Installing or using the app means accepting them.
What the app is
Nihongo Rush is a game that teaches Japanese words and phrases. It is built with care and tested, but it is not a certified course and does not prepare you for any exam on its own. The Japanese content is written for learners and checked, but it may still contain mistakes; when you find one, tell us and it gets fixed. Nihongo Rush is provided as it is. It is not promised to be free of faults, available without interruption, or suited to any particular purpose of yours.
What you may do with the app
While your subscription is active you have a personal, non-transferable licence to use Nihongo Rush on devices you control. You may not resell it, redistribute it, or take it apart to extract the word lists, sentences, audio, artwork or game rules for use elsewhere. The artwork, the voices and the name Nihongo Rush belong to the publisher.
The subscription
Nihongo Rush is sold as an auto-renewing subscription. You choose the length when you subscribe, and the price for your country is shown before you confirm; Apple charges in your local currency. The annual plan starts with a free trial; the trial converts into a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before that period ends. Apple takes payment for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
Cancelling is done through Apple, not through us. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel there. We have no way to cancel it for you, and deleting the app does not cancel it. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the time you have already paid for runs to the end of the period. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's rules.
A subscription belongs to your Apple Account, not to the device. If you reinstall the app or move to another phone, use Restore purchases under ME to bring it back.
When the subscription ends
The app stops at the subscription screen. Your progress stays on the phone and comes back the moment you subscribe again.
Your data
What the app records and what it never records is set out on the privacy page, which is part of these terms. There are no accounts; progress is stored on your phone and is your responsibility to back up (a normal iCloud backup does it).
Liability
To the extent the law allows, liability for loss arising from using the app — including loss of the progress stored on your phone — is excluded. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
Changes
These terms may change when the app changes. The date at the top says when. Continuing to use the app after a change means accepting it. Questions: support@nihongorush.com.
